Rafa knows that life is a journey! A self-identified “problem solver”, she gets an enormous sense of accomplishment and satisfaction from using this skill. Her instinct to resolve issues is well suited by her personality traits of being open, engaging, outspoken, and affectionate.

Rafa aspires to pursue a career in the medical field, with a specific focus on working with children. Her goal is to become a pediatrician or pediatric surgeon. Rafa knows her natural skills, like problem solving and resilience, will be of great use with whatever she pursues.

One consistent passion in Rafa’s life has been soccer. She has been playing since she was four years old and currently plays for both Mustang Soccer Club and Foothill High School's varsity team. She is a team player and is always pushing to be the best version of herself. On and off the field, Rafa surrounds herself with friends who help her achieve this goal.

Rafa’s love for soccer is matched by her love for all animals! She volunteered with the local SPCA two summers ago and had a great experience. Rafa currently has a job as a camp counselor for the City of Pleasanton in the summer and winter. She got some amazing experience working with kids and creating deep bonds with them. She also effectively utilized her Spanish-speaking skills to communicate with children who exclusively spoke the language. Off the soccer field, Rafa can be found curled up with a good book, or practicing her multilingual abilities in Spanish and Portuguese.

Rafa is excited to continue to be a member of Girls Soccer Worldwide. She continues to discover more about herself as she grows and learns through this incredible opportunity!
